Shed 3 Construction Updates

The complete renovation of Shed 3 began on January 5, 2009. The Shed, built in 1923, will receive a complete renovation including new concrete flooring with radiant heat, all new electrical, the addition of public restrooms, restoration of the original windows and more!
The project architect is Kraemer Design Group and the construction is being managed by a joint venture between KEO Construction and Turner Construction.
Construction is expected to take 10 months with final completion scheduled for October 2009. The Shed will be completely closed January-Mid April, when it will reopen for Saturday use only. Construction will continue during the week.

Some preliminary demo was done to remove the curbs to allow for better movement by the large equipment needed for a job like this. Currently, the lead paint is being removed from the metal columns. That work is scheduled to be completed on January 28th. Powerwashing of the entire Shed is next.
