Shed 3 Construction Updates

The complete renovation of Shed 3 began on January 5, 2009. The Shed, built in 1923, will receive a complete renovation including new concrete flooring with radiant heat, all new electrical, the addition of public restrooms, restoration of the original windows and more!
The project architect is Kraemer Design Group and the construction is being managed by a joint venture between KEO Construction and Turner Construction.
Construction is expected to take 10 months with final completion scheduled for October 2009. The Shed will be completely closed January-Mid April, when it will reopen for Saturday use only. Construction will continue during the week.

Things are moving along nicely. Three of the four trench drains have been poured and prep is underway to start laying out the radiant heat pipes so the rest of the cement floor can be poured in sections. The final trench drain will be poured today or tomorrow.

The trenches for the trench drains have been cut and the concrete forms put into place. The concrete will begin to be poured, around the new drains on Friday.
