Shed 3 Construction Updates

The complete renovation of Shed 3 began on January 5, 2009. The Shed, built in 1923, will receive a complete renovation including new concrete flooring with radiant heat, all new electrical, the addition of public restrooms, restoration of the original windows and more!
The project architect is Kraemer Design Group and the construction is being managed by a joint venture between KEO Construction and Turner Construction.
Construction is expected to take 10 months with final completion scheduled for October 2009. The Shed will be completely closed January-Mid April, when it will reopen for Saturday use only. Construction will continue during the week.

This week the crew is working diligently on removing the first batch of the plastic that was covering the upper window openings as well as building the walls for the bathroom. Once complete, Shed 3 will have modern restrooms, located in the shed, making it more comfortable for vendors and visitors.

Shed 3 opened on the first Saturday of May, but it will not be complete until October. The cement floor is poured and usable, 3 of the 4 parking lots have the first layer of ashpalt and are usable (the fourth lot is concrete and will be ready by next Saturday) and the bathroom construction has begun...

Shed 3 opened today! The renovations are not scheduled to be completed until October, but the shed will now be open, and filled with vendors, every Saturday...
